Surface Preparation for Wallpaper Installation
SURFACE PREPARATIONS
Avoid expensive repairs by doing it right the first time. Treating your walls to prevent condensation is important even if you are not planning to place wallpapers on your wall.
Untreated wall may cause black molds, water and moisture build up on your walls.
The walls should be solid, dry, smooth and clean.
To achieve this, use the following:
A) ON CONCRETE WALL
- Neutralizer
- Latex Paint
- Glazing putty or dicalite
- Patching Compound
- Acrylic Emulsion
B) ON PLYWOOD WALL
- Flatwall enamel paint
- Glazing putty
C) ON V-CUT SURFACE
- White cement
- Flatwall enamel paint
- Glazing putty
*NOTE:
NEVER USE KALSOMINE FOR MIXTURE.
